Timeline: In August before the summer festival.December 22nd after defeating YOU-KNOW-WHO and saving Inaba from turning into something out of Silent Hill. :P

Here's the tl;dr version: This Souji is the human form of Izanagi. And most of the Investigation Team's past lives are gods/legendary figures from Japanese Mythology and Buddhism.

Long version: ( TRUE ENDING SPOILERS )

So when Souji and Yosuke decide to rush into the weirdass TV world to see if they can find clues in Saki-senpai's death in the funky version of the shopping district, they are attacked by Shadows. This event unlocks Souji/Izanagi's powers into the form of a Persona...which is also called Izanagi. So yeah, he's summoning himself. \o\;

But what also happened when those powers were unlocked was that Souji's memories of his past life were unleashed. But before he could wtf over it, Yosuke's shadow shows up and turns into a giant frog thing of death after Yosuke denies it. After it's defeated, Yosuke accepts the shadow and gains his persona Jiraiya.

In turn, that's right, Yosuke's powers as Susano-O are also unlocked in the form as his Persona. However, his his memories of his past life as a god don't reveal themselves until his social link is maxed and Jiraiya turns into Susano-O which in turn means he's at full power (yet his and everyone else's Persona still have to learn their abilities, orz). Which also weirded him out at first but gets used to it. Later it turns out Yukiko and Kanji are gods too.

The four of them now wait to learn who their friends truly are while keeping the 'lol I'm a god' thing a secret.

Other random crap (more will be added for later):
-Unfortunately the human mind can't bear to have all those memories, powers and knowledge on the surface all at once so it moves it all to the subconcious/unconcious to where they hang out until the user needs/decides to recall them. /bs-ing
-As much as Souji and Yukiko want to date, they're kinda weirded out by their relationship of their past lives (father and daughter). That and there's the 'my zombie ex is out there somewhere' thing
-Souji/Izanagi will act like his ordinary human self unless there's a good reason why he should bust out the Amenonuboko and smite your ass.
-For the lolz, Souji/Izanagi will recognize gods from other mythologies. JUST BECAUSE I CAN. *shot*
-Rise/Kanzeon understood that Senpai hugged her 'cause she needed it. And why he's apparently not interested in dating her ("Right, so you're a one-girl type of guy. So, who is she~? :D"). But she refuses to lose hope that someday, he'll fall for her. ("Face it, senpai, Izanami hates your guts. :|")
-Mostly everybody in Inaba doesn't know that Izanagi's dating god!Thanatos...because it happened in the mall and for some reason he didn't show up in Inaba yet (or maybe he did and is being invisible about it).
-Thanks to a certain incident the other day, there's a time paradox/loop going on where Izanagi hasn't told his kids about him dating god!Thanatos. However, by the beginning of December, Susano-O knows about it (and more or less revealed this to Amaterasu while thinking that she already knows). Let's face it, he has to go home sometime. \o\;

Was there the whole time on an unconcious level - Creating 1500 lives every day
Level 1/Persona get - WOAH SNAP I'M A GOD IN A PAST LIFE. Spends next few days flashbacking like woah.
Level 10 - Can carry up to 8 Personae at a time. Can now summon the Amenonuboko.
Level 15 - Hammerspace access regained, huzzah
Level 20-22 - Can carry up to 10 Personae at a time. Memory of the journey into Yomi reinforced.
Level 30 - Can carry up to 12 Personae at a time. Ability to sense other gods strengthens (party members start getting that 'you feel familiar' feeling in his radar starting at rank 7)
Level 40-42 - Memory of first wedding of Izanagi and Izanami (who spoke first when it should be Izanagi doing it. He shrugs it off. Cue mutant babies). Process of regaining it was reinforced by Midnight Channel event in the Velvet Mall (it also confirms that time he went batshit crazy on Kagutsuchi orz)

Level 70-72 - The more I think of it, Saki-senpai looked oddly familiar. She kinda looked like Kushinada-hime....oh snap. LET'S NOT TELL SUSANO-O ABOUT THIS. :O

Right. It's been a few hours since Izanagi accidentally got in the middle of a bitch fight between a couple of Fae!demons and bitchslapped a Narcissus' self-esteem which then Karma reared its head and sent in a very bored Jinn.

And now he's female again.

Unfortunately, it turns out that the bra and lingerie!nightgown (that he hid in a box in his dorm closet) don't fit him right because he got blessed with larger breasts this time.

Thus begins his journey to search for that Victoria's Secret...which for some reason moved since the last time he was there. Stupid Mall. Stupid hangover. Stupid demons. Stupid boobs for being too big. Stupid alcohol for causing hangovers.

Guess who missed Halloween because they decided to drink themselves into oblivion and used their Get of Out Jail Free card to spend the past couple of days in a alcohol-induced coma? Go on, guess.


Izanagi wakes up in his dorm room wincing at the brightness of the light and oh good lord this headache fffffff.

Maybe he should sleep some more.

...But holy crap something stinks like sake.

Oh wait, that could be him.

Right. Shower time.



((....Yeeeaaaah. He's returned from his trip to coma-land, you guys. You may scold him, facepalm at him, ask him for any beer that may be left, ask him to clean up the mall roof, or mess with his head. Have at it, guys. Bear in mind you're going to deal with a cranky hungover godthing.))

Izanagi walked into his dorm room to sleep...only find himself back in his world. He leaves Junes to find that the fog that covered the town for a month is clearing away and bringing back the blue sky. He smiles at this.

He goes to bed that night once again alone and filled with thoughts of how would he be able to come back to the Velvet Mall and when. Thanatos needs his friends right now and who the hell knows what happened to Hypnos during the past 4000 years and what just recently happened but gods he hopes the God of Sleep will be okay.

He wakes up to find that tomorrow is Christmas Eve and it seems that everyone keeps asking him if he has anything planned for Yukiko Amagi (ie, Amaterasu) tomorrow night (wink wink nudge nudge).

It was after the third kick in the 'nads by Chie/Suzuka that they stopped asking.

After a very long day, Izanagi enters the still empty house looking at his phone. There's several text messages waiting and he opens the phone's menu to enter the read texts command as he goes upstairs and...

...collides into a desk. Cursing, he rubs his knee wondering who the hell moved his stuff around before realizing that holy crap he's back after a day.

Shit, how long was he gone? He rushes out of the room, almost in a panic, hoping that he wasn't gone from the mall for a long time.

And he still hasn't read today's text messages.

Izanagi is in the dorm lounge relaxing in a chair reading Watanabe Hiroki and the Half-Pirate Ninja.

His Expression has increased.

[This fic is written as if Izanagi was never brought to the Velvet Mall. Therefore, he never got a heads up to any future events that might occur in his timeline nor did he set off the catalyst in his relationship with Thanatos. So...yeah, in the original timeline, its stuck on reversed!rank 2 and Thanatos would rather not deal with the whiney Japanese guy who can't seem to accept that his WAIFU IS DEEEEEEEAAAAAD when he has to be in a million+ places at once. That and once Thanatos returns home from the Velvet Mall/Sisyphus' closet, he would never seek out Izanagi and strike up a friendship that for some reason got stuck at rank 6 since the Renaissance. ...Yeah. Their relationship is a timey whimey ball of doom.

I will someday throw in a fic that details how the timeline changed thanks to the mall...which yes, means an alternate ending of sorts.

Because I'm a lazyarse, I'll add on new sections on this one post when inspiration strikes me. Also, fear my writing style. Fear it I say.

Also, spoilers concerning Hypnos and Thanatos' future and possible mythology fail. :D; *shot*]

"Escaped? What do you mean she escaped?" Izanagi didn't know it was possible to escape Yomi after he sealed the entrance...

Susano-O fidgeted under his father's gaze, "Ah, yes. She just broke out a few hours ago before you got here. I'm not even sure how she moved that boulder - Ah, where are you going? You're not going to that part of Yomi are you? The Shikome are in a frenzy right now and they still remember your escape so-" His father raised a hand to silence his rambling.

"But I have to see it with my own two eyes how you, Susano-O, Lord of Yomi, have let this happen without you noticing?"

"Father, I don't see and know everything that occurs in Yomi. How was I supposed to know she's been plotting to break out of here?"

"Has she ever mentioned any of her plans to you? Susano-O sighed.

"Why are you so concerned of Mother's absence? Is this about the mortals? In case you haven't noticed, there are at least six billion of them and her personally taking a thousand mortals souls to the afterlife everyday isn't going to change anything when there are a lot more born!"

Izanagi halted in his path to the main entrance, where the boulder once stood. It wasn't just moved, it was blasted into dust. "I...want to redeem myself to her. And just when I finally got the courage to descend to her home and confront her...She's gone."

"What are you going to do then, Father?" Izanagi turns to face his son, his expression setting on determination.

"I'm going to look for her."

Five...ten...fifteen minutes have passed and the crying hasn't let up nor is there a sound of someone calming it.
